Sorry ive been slacking on the posting recently – I don’t have a valid reason but isn’t everyone allowed a break once in a while. Anyway, todays post is going to be everything ive been loving in the past month of March. ( there isn’t a lot this month because ive been using past months products through this month aswell)

• Maybelline eraser eye concealer

Looking for a new DRUGSTORE concealer? look no futher. I had heard lots of positive reviews on this product and im a happy costumer myself 🙂

• Topshop Lipstick – Innocent

I’ve had this product for a long time now and i’ve never really used it because I turned it away to all my other Topshop lip products. But recently this lilac-y toned pink shade has been my go to!

Skincare //

I have no skincare favourites this month because ive been using last months favourites again: so if you didn’t see that post, go check it out 🙂

TV/Movies //

• Eddie the Eagle
• Thirteen

thirteen is a short series on BBC IPlayer that is an addcting, drama-fulled short story that has definatly been apart of the past month! Go watch it please – you wont be disappointed.

• Once Upon A Time

An old favourite from last year that i’ve been getting into again, from the new series! I understand that it isn’t everyones ‘cup of tea’ but I really enjoy it: but I recommend the older series (1-3) more!

Music //

• Zayn – Mind of Mine

The long-awaited album from the ex-member of One Direction has FINALLY released his new album ‘ Mind Of Mine’. Ive been waiting since ‘Pillowtalk’ dropped and it was worth the wait in my opinion!!

• Spotify’s throwback playlist

Don’t we all sometimes just jam out to some throwback songs, and I find all my old favourites on this spotify playlist! It has some tracks that I sing with my friends and just dance like crazy 😉 Go check It out if you’re a throwback lover!

Random //

• My hair colour

Not sounding too vein, I hope, but my hair I have been loving! I love the colour it is at the moment because its all different colours! From dying my hair 1000’s of times ( from brown to blonde to brown) it has started to mash them all into an almost ombre effect. It started off quite dark but leads into a light brown which has some ginger and blonde tints to it. Also ive received a few compliments of the colour so obviously its not only me enjoying the mish0mash of colours!

Today’s post is dedicated to my new fave colour: khaki. Khaki is that army green colour that has been hitting the fashion industry by storm. I feel like it’s a colour that almost everyone can pull off and just flawless.

february favourites

Today’s post is going to be about everything I’ve been loving the past month! 

Beauty//

• NYX concealer (Boots, £7.99)

I wanted to try a new concealer and I saw some good reviews on this product so I got my debit card out and went shopping! It’s a high coverage concealer that is really creamy and easy to blend. 

• Rimmel Brow this way (Boots, £3.99)

Not only is this product at a bargain price, it works like a dream. I would say this is a dupe for benefits brow gel but the only downside with this product is the brush is too big for my brows and would be better if it were smaller but for the price, the quality is amazing!

• Seventeen loose powder (Boots, £8.99)

This powder makes oily skin look flawlessly matte. It stays on all day and I won’t go back to using any other powders for a long time. Also there is so much product in the pot, it could last ages. 

I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a new powder!

Skin care//

• Clean & Clear- deep cleansing lotion (Superdrug, £4.99)

I’ve used this product for at least a year, and it’s always worked. It helps prevent breakouts, cleans your pores and removes makeup! It’s an all rounder. 

All of clean & clear’s products are exceptional and have never disappointed me!

• Simple makeup wipes (Boots, £3.99)

Simple is another never fail brand and probably the best drug store skin care brand there is! These wipes are very moist and remove makeup very quickly.
TV/Movies//

• Zoolander 2

The long awaited sequal finally arrived and I must say it was an incredible! Ben Stiller & Will Ferrel never fail to make me laugh!

• Orphans Black

A-MA-ZING! Please go watch this series (first 2 seasons are on Netflix!) You will not be dissapointed!

• That’s 70’s Show

Such a classic! Almost as good as Friends, but nothing can beat that. Even though having Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunnis to stare at for 25Minutes is a blessing. 

Music//

• Adele (25)

All I need to say is, Adele!

• Melanie Martinez

In particullar, Dollhouse, Tag you’re it, Mad Hatter and Soap. Melanie is a talented teenager with an incredible voice. I would recommend her whole album but I these songs in particullar I just love!

• Rhianna (Work)

Rhianna and Drake in one song, one video = LIFE. But someone please tell me what she actually says in the chorus??

Random//

• Forever 21

I was in Weatfields the other week and I saw Forever 21, all the new clothes are GORGEOUS! So I went stalking on their website and managed to create a basket worth £189.99 (SORRY MUM!)

• Candy Crush

My obsession has returned. I can’t stop playing it and cried because I had to wait 37 hours before I could play again- stupid train station changing thing!

• Vo5 Haircare

I’ve been using Vo5’s shampoo and conditioner recently and it has increased shine and volume! Vo5 is almost my favourite hair care brand ever (but Tigi beats it!) but i would highly recommend Vo5’s products.

GRAMMYS 2016 RED CARPET

Hi lovelies,

Im going to be showing and telling you my favourite red carpet looks from the 2016 Grammys and why I like them. Lots of celebrities looked stunning at the Grammys and all wore beautiful outfits, but these are my personal faves!

TAYLOR SWIFT

Taylors look was very 70/80’s with her retro, neon co-ord set. It showed off her incredible body perfectly and that new bob hairstyle, well she is rocking it! Not only did she wow us on the red carpet, but wowed us that she won 3 Grammys that night ( Not that much of a surprise really).

 

 

 

JUSTIN BIEBER

 

Justin went for a white blazer with black trousers, shirt and bow tie. The new (musical) bond? To top of his look, he had his little brother, Jaxon Bieber, by his side. Isn’t he a cutie? Must run in the family!

 

 

CIARA

 

Ciara is rocking her gorgeous dress and I don’t think anyone can deny that! Her highly split dress shows off Ciara’s legs and to the extreme perfection they are. Not only was she one of the best dressed of the evening, she also had one of the best hair and makeup done ( According to vogue and me!)

 

 

 

CHRISSY TEIGEN

Isn’t Chrissy stunning? Even when she’s pregnant, she looks flawless. She was easily one of the best dressed at the Grammys! And having a cute John Legend on her side completes her outfit. The white, laced cape just makes her dress that bit more gorgeous! I want one… Sorry, I NEED ONE!

 

 

 

JANELLE MONAE

 

Even though her outfit was under the category as “most bizarre” – I strongly disagree. Yes, its not the perfect red carpet gown every celebrity desires (the dress Chrissy has!!) Janelle pulls off this quirky, doll like dress. The look, along with the hat, shoes and clutch, shows you don’t have to wear beautifully flowing dresses to look incredible! Also her luscious, long, locks locked into plaits just completes the doll-like appearance.

 

 

These were my 5 favourite outfits from the 2016 Grammys. There was so many more I loved but I managed to narrow down my list!

JANUARY FAVOURITES

Today’s post is my first monthly favourites and will be a regular to this blog on the first week of every month! So here’s January’s favourites-

 BEAUTY//

• MAC Lipstick (Spirit)

This is such a beautiful nude/brown shade and it’s so creamy and looks gorgeous! 

• W7 ‘In the nudes’ palette

This palette includes such gorgeous colours (mainly pinky tones). It is a dupe for Naked 3 and also includes some lush brown/grey shades aswell! 

• Borjouis Chocolate Powder

This bronzer smells INCREDIBLE! It apparently smells of chocolate but I don’t think so. It creates such a nice tan and looks great!

SKIN CARE//

• Simple exfoliating scrub

THIS SAVED MY SKIN enough said.

• Elizabeth Arden  Radiance Moisturiser

This moisturiser feels SO SO good on and keeps your skin soft for longggggg!

Everyone knows my favourite drink is Sparkling Water, I’m not sure why it is but I just enjoy the taste SO much! Even though it’s very plain- it is just my favourite thing!!!

LITTLE BLACK DRESS

Hi lovelies,

Little Black Dress. The LBD. Something everyone can rock! Personally I adore LBD’s, whether it’s a body con, skater, tunic or whatever type of dress you prefer; The LBD is a fierce one to show off your figure or just to show off how incredible you look!

My personal favourite is a classic skater dress.  

 
DRESS: Miss Selfridges £28.00 (sadly they no longer sell this dress but any black skater dress is a win!)

I really liked this one because it is a plain black dress with some cute lacing details under the arm on the side and back. This is such a pretty dress for parties or going out for dinner- it’s just perfect. it fits amazingly and is so practical and comfy. everything you desire!

One last thing, Miss Selfridges have the most stunning dresses and always have amazing quality products. It’s definatley my go to shop for dresses whether a summer dress or party dress. They have it all!

GO TO HAIR UP DO’S

Hello lovelies,

So today’s post is my go to hair up do’s. If your like me and can’t be bothered to straighten/curl your hair and always go to the classic pony, this will give you new ways to spice up your hair looks and keep it out of your face!

I would recommend having medium to long hair and it being quite think because short hair is more difficult to tie up (MY LIFE STRUGGLES)

DUTCH BRAIDS//

  

This is quite difficult to learn but once you know how to, it’s as easy as it can be! 

How to do this ~

firstly, split your hair down the centre and take 3 strands of hair from the top of your hair and begin plaiting by putting the left piece UNDERNEATH the middle then the right piece under the left.

secondly, bring the left piece under the middle again and add a smallish section of hair to it. continue this on the right and vice versa.  

 carry on this down the back of your head adding equal sections of hair to your plait.

once all the hair is added, finish in a reverse plait and secure the end with a band. then repeat on the other side of your head.

BABY SPACE BUNS//

  

this is a really simple and cute up do and I love to do this most weekends!

how to do this-

firstly spilt your hair down the centre and brush your hair smoothly!

then take on half of your hair and hold it in a high pony tail BUT DONT TIE IT OFF! 

 start wrapping the hair around your finger until a mini bun is formed. then securely tie it off and if need be pull it out and make it messy! 

I also like to pull out my baby hairs to frame my face!  

 
PRINCESS BOW //

  

This up do and is so cute and would look adorable on younger kids but I personally love it!

how to do this –

first brush your hair into a high pony tail and start to tie it off but on the second loop of the hair bobble leave it in a looped bun.

then pull that bun in half and split it into two. pin this down with some bobby pins 

then with the hair that is left of from the pony tail pull it over in the centre to create the middle of the bow.  

 you can also leave bits out to create tails of the bow.

MESSY BUN //

this is my classic go to up do! I love a good messy bun whereever whenever!!

how to do this-

firstly pull all your hair in a loose pony tail then tie it off.

secondly loosely twist the hair around the pony and tie that off aswell.

  

if required add bobby pins to secure it in place! and pull down baby hairs to make it extra messy.

NEW HAIR

Hello everyone,
I’m Daisy and welcome to my blog!!

So today is my first post and I plan to post every Friday! And it’s all about about hair today. This is purely because I dyed my hair last night from a blonde to a dark brown. This was quite a dramatic change but I’m no stranger to dying my hair.

This is before.

This is after…

I wanted to re-dye my hair brown for a while now but my hair wasn’t in good enough condition to do so and my roots were horrendous I must say. Even though it’s taken some time to get used to the darkness of my hair, I much prefer it.

In the future, I hope to dye my hair more exotic colours like lilac, silver and maybe even blue but for now I’m staying natural-ish.
